About the Journal

The journal's mission is to cultivate rigorous psychological scholarship that improves understanding of human behaviour, mental health, and applied psychological practice particularly within the realities of Pakistan and the wider South Asian region while maintaining methodological integrity, ethical accountability, and scholarly clarity.

PJP publishes research and scholarship that address psychological theory, empirical findings, and practice-oriented insights, with emphasis on work that is replicable, ethically grounded, and analytically transparent. Topic coverage spans major sub-disciplines of psychology , including clinical and allied applied themes when supported by sound methods.

The journal serves a multi-tier readership: academic researchers, clinicians and mental-health practitioners, educators, graduate students, and policy-adjacent professionals who rely on evidence-based psychological insights.

While PJP prioritises research relevance to Pakistan and the South Asian contextits editorial expectation is that submissions articulate their contribution in internationally intelligible terms: clearly defined constructs, defensible sampling logic, transparent analyses, and appropriately bounded claims.

Editorial decisions are made on scholarly merit, methodological soundness, and ethical compliance.
