Short Communications

Manuscript Structure
A research manuscript is expected to present a coherent scientific narrative. On first use, a structured abstract means the abstract is organized into labelled components such as objective, methods, results, and conclusion, enabling rapid appraisal of study integrity.
For empirical work, the typical structure is: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Appendices where necessary. Authors must present measures and analyses in a way that permits replication or at minimum transparent critique.
Essential Requirements
Referencing Style
Manuscripts must follow APA Style (7th edition). Citations and reference lists must be consistent, complete, and verifiable.
Figures and Tables
Figures and tables must be essential, legible, and referenced in the text. On first use, interpretation notes mean every table or figure is accompanied by a brief explanation of what to notice and why it matters for the argument.
Plagiarism and Originality
The journal applies originality screening. On first use, plagiarism refers to unattributed reuse of text, ideas, data, or figures, including self-plagiarism where prior work is reused without transparent citation and justification. Submissions failing originality expectations may be returned before review.
Ethics and Protections
Where human participants are involved, authors must state ethics approval and consent practices, and must disclose any risk-management measures relevant to vulnerable populations. Detailed requirements appear in Publication Ethics.
